Begg & Co, is launching four limited edition scarf designs in collaboration with the charity Maggie's, which provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends from 18 architecturally unique centres across the UK, online and abroad. Begg & Co will be donating all profits from the sale and manufacture of the scarves to Maggie's, enabling the charity to support and grow its network of centres and to develop its unique, high quality programme of support. The charity's aim is to make the biggest difference possible to people living with cancer and their family and friends across the UK.
Maggie’s Centres offer a unique environment, designed by some of the most significant and original architects in the world. All are built with certain fundamental themes in mind and an appreciation of how environment can affect wellbeing. They are spaces that feel warm and supportive whilst also being stimulating and intriguing. They help to inspire people to explore the things they can do to help themselves live with, through and beyond cancer.
Begg & Co was introduced to the charity by journalist, broadcaster and writer Kirsty Wark, who has been an Honorary Patron of Maggie's since 2000. Since then the Begg & Co designers have worked closely with the Maggie's team to design four unique scarf designs each inspired by different elements of Maggie's architecture and garden design.
The scarves, as featured in Vogue.co.uk, are being made in Begg & Co's unique 'Wispy' quality which is 100% cashmere, super lightweight, beautifully soft next to the skin and ideal for year-round and summer wear. Two of the designs are available immediately for pre-order and the following two designs will be available from end October with delivery 1st November.
All designs will also be available to purchase in Fenwick department stores in Bond Street, London & Newcastle and in Jane Davidson's store in Edinburgh. All involved are donating 100% of their profits to Maggie's.
