What accessory will transform any look, casual or tailored, from mundane to miraculous?
Today the pochette has become a way for men to express their sense of style when wearing a tailored or casual sport coat or suit.  I like wearing a scarf in wool or cashmere in winter and silk in spring. It's become a perennial look for me.

    Describe your general style?
Classic with a modern streak.  I'm still fascinated with the New England classic style of the Kennedy's in the 60's.

What trends did you see coming through at Pitti Uomo that you can’t wait to see in store?
I was very impressed about the repositioning and juxtaposition of brands making way for a modern interpretation of menswear.  The textured solid of melange sport coats are dominant in almost every collection.  It's a great trend since the palette of colours this season in menswear is the broadest and most exciting I've seen in a while.

How do you wear your favourite scarf?
Tied loosely under a tailored or denim jacket.

Business or pleasure – what item never gets left out of your suitcase?
    Anything navy.

Who is your timeless style icon?
I've been looking at images of Robert Redford recently.  He's a classic American looking man.  His roles and subsequent looks in the 70's are all inspiring.

How did you wear your Begg & Co scarf in the pictures we took on our stand… what would be the ideal outfit to wear it with?
My favourite denim jacket or a navy blazer.

What accessory will transform any look, casual or tailored, from mundane to miraculous?
Any unexpected accessory which breaks up common looks, e.g. bow ties, ties, pochettes for casual styles or sneakers, sweats for formal wear.

    Describe your general style?
    Urban sophisticated with a twist.

What trends did you see coming through at Pitti Uomo that you can’t wait to see in store?
The influence of urban and active wear mixed up with classic upper casual and formal elements.

How do you wear your favourite scarf?
In summer – with a classic knot or styled as turban against the heat.
In winter – a long heavy scarf wrapped several times around the neck and beyond or a fine one tucked into a shirt.

Business or pleasure – what item never gets left out of your suitcase?
My cordovan tassel loafers and a thin navy scarf in washed wool.

Which collection at Pitti Uomo was your favourite?
I was impressed by several ones but kept in mind: Massimo Alba, Salvatore Piccolo, Tonello, Michael Coal and Circolo 1901.

Who is your timeless style icon?
Oscar Wilde, Steve McQueen and David Beckham (2 out of 3 from the UK not so bad)

How did you wear your Begg & Co scarf in the pictures we took on our stand… what would be the ideal outfit to wear it with?
With a short sleeved cardigan over a printed indigo dyed shirt, 2 pleated woollen pants and clean high top sneakers with blue laces.

What accessory will transform any look, casual or tailored, from mundane to miraculous?
I think you can get quite far with a beautiful tie, watch or bag, but with a wonderful scarf you can take it that extra step further when it comes to adding more texture, volume, colours and patterns in order to brighten things up a bit.

    Describe your general style?
I think ‘smart casual’ pretty much sums up my style. You never really know where the day will take you, so by dressing smart casual you’re never overdressed or underdressed for whatever comes at you.

What trends did you see coming through at Pitti Uomo that you can’t wait to see in store?
Trunk tends not to focus too much on the latest trends, but always on great pieces of clothing made with beautiful materials and designs that don’t go out of style. Having said that there is a clear trend of more casual clothing coming our way, so I look forward to seeing some casual pieces in store from some of the more classic brands.

How do you wear your favourite scarf?
Fluffed up as much as possible and then wrapped around my neck for maximum warmth in the winter.

Business or pleasure – what item never gets left out of your suitcase?
    A navy jacket.

Which collection at Pitti Uomo was your favourite?
There were lots of collections I liked, but some that made my heart beat a bit faster were Camoshita, Barena and the Gigi. And Begg & Co of course!

Who is your timeless style icon?
If I could only pick one it would have to be Steve McQueen, but I also like the way Paul Newman and Cary Grant dressed. All their styles still feel very relevant today.

How did you wear your Begg & Co scarf in the pictures we took on our stand… what would be the ideal outfit to wear it with?
As it was a warm day there was no need to keep my neck warm so I decided to simply drape the scarf along the line of my jacket, to give my otherwise pretty plain look a little bit of extra texture and pattern. I picked a colour and pattern that I thought matched with what I was wearing on the day. Only one pattern at a time is my philosophy, had I worn a jacket with a pattern I would have chosen a plain scarf.

A scarf as it is useful, practical and necessary.

What accessory will transform any look, casual or tailored, from mundane to miraculous?

My number one accessory would be any type of cap closely followed by a summer stole.

I’d class my look as ‘French Worker’ and in summer I like to wear a lot of navy and blue.

What trends did you see coming through at Pitti Uomo that you can’t wait to see in store?
    A more relaxed looking style.

How do you wear your favourite scarf?
Not too tight but not too lose- natural and soft, almost floating on my shoulders.

Business or pleasure – what item never gets left out of your suitcase?
It is very important that I have either a Begg & Co Staffa scarf or a silk scarf.

Which collection at Pitti Uomo was your favourite?
    JUPE BY JACKIE

Who is your timeless style icon?
    Tintin

How did you wear your Begg & Co scarf in these pictures we took on our Pitti stand… what would be the ideal outfit to wear it with?
